Once a month, we will publish an informative newsletter, keeping you updated on all the latest events and news CircuitRunners has. We will include include a calendar of upcoming events, as well as a summary of the key things that we are doing as a club. We hope enjoy it!

Upcoming Dates:

  • FTC League Meet 1: November 1

GRITS 2025

From October 3rd - October 4th, our FRC team (FRC 1002) competed at the annual Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament and Showcase (GRITS). GRITS is an event run by GeorgiaFIRST Robotics, and it is an amazing offseason competition in which FRC teams can compete in the last season’s game, REEFSCAPE.

Teams throughout Georgia gathered at the Riverside Preparatory Academy for two days of thrilling robotics matches; qualifiers took place on October 3rd and the morning of October 4th. Then, teams went through alliance selection to see who will compete in playoffs.

Our FRC team (FRC 1002) was selected to be in an alliance with the Peachtree Ridge Robolions (Team 1261) and Walton Robotics (Team 2974). Together, we made it to the finals of the tournament and received a 2nd place award for this accomplishment. This was an amazing way for FRC 1002 to end their season, improving so much as a team throughout the course of the season!

Magnet Open House

On October 16th, Wheeler High School had their annual Magnet Open House to attract rising freshman to Wheeler Magnet. We had such a wonderful time representing robotics and inspiring future Circuitrunners to pursue STEM. Prospective students were able to ask questions about the club and even drive the robot! We were able to reach the 400 people that attended this event!

GE Vernova Family Day

On October 18, our robotics members had the opportunity to present a robot demonstration at GE Vernova where kids got the chance to test out and drive our robots using actual game pieces. At this event, we were able to spread the robotics community and inspire the younger generation of thinkers!

Hightower Girl Powered Workshop

Some of our members visited the Hightower Girl Powered Workshop where they worked with young girls, introducing them to the world of robotics. The students got the chance to learn how to drive the FTC robots and interact with game pieces! We had such a wonderful time at Hightower and hope to return soon!

Sope Creek Elementary School Octoberfest

Recently, our FTC teams were able to hold a robot demonstration at Sope Creek’s Octoberfest. Here, both elementary school students and their parents got the opportunity to drive the FTC robots and play with game pieces. We had an amazing time teaching these kids how to drive the robots and introducing them to robotics!

Parent Volunteering

Dear PARENTS,

Volunteering for events is a vital to support our club. Many of our events that we host require adult volunteers to run. Without parents volunteers specifically, we would not be able to host all of the events that we do throughout the year. Volunteering as a parent can help your child earn a letter for robotics, which is great for college applications. As a Circuitrunners parent, it is your duty to support your student, and a great way to do that is through volunteering of Circuitrunners events!

Upcoming Volunteering Opportunities:

  • Saturday, October 1st: FTC League Meet

How can you get involved with CircuitRunners?

CircuitRunners is a student-led, student-driven organization, but none of our amazing achievements would have been possible without the invaluable support of our teachers, parents, sponsors, and mentors. As high school students, we deeply value the experience, wisdom, and knowledge you bring to the table - whether it’s programming expertise, mechanical skills, business sense, or marketing proficiency.

In addition to your time and expertise, any financial support would be greatly appreciated. Whether it’s a small donation or sponsoring one of our events, every contribution makes a significant difference.

if you know about schools or communities that can get involved with CircuitRunners can get involved with, send us an email at: [email protected] or visit our website: www.circuitrunners.org

We are truly grateful for everything you are doing for CircuitRunners! Thank you!
